Known as The Grief Counselor, Phelica meets the needs of individuals and families coping with grief, behavioral and emotional issues by walking with them through their journeys. She believes that people transition smoothly through difficult situations when they have the necessary support. A graduate of Washburn University with a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences and a Masters in Social Work from Tulane University of New Orleans, she is a conduit of healing for those looking to partner with her. She is active in her community as a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, The Links Incorporated and NAACP. She is also the board president of For the Culture, KS. Phelica currently serves as the Ethics Committee Chair for NASW - Kansas.
